Welcome to Sinclairs Retreat Dooars
Dooars is far away from urban madness. It will come fresh but remote for those coming for the first time. This piece of god's own land is, however, easily accessible. Sparsely inhabited by hospitable tribal people, it draws tourists for its lush green tea gardens and golden sunset over the east's unarguably most enchanting landscape, rich in biodiversity and deep forests. The weather in the region is delightfully pleasant even on warm days. Come monsoon, the refreshing tropical rains will add vibrancy to picturesque Dooars.

Dooars is the gateway to Bhutan and the northeastern states of India. Among its many attractions are rich wildlife, flora and fauna. A visit to sanctuaries like Gorumara and Jaldapara will offer remarkable sights of wildlife, including the one-horned Rhinoceros (an endangered species). Avid birdwatchers will have many exciting birding encounters. The orange orchards at Samsing, white water rafting in the Teesta river, views of the Bengal plains from Phuntsholing in Bhutan, temples, monasteries and nearby villages are worthy of discovery.

Sinclairs Retreat Dooars, strategically perched on Chalsa hillock overlooking the Dooars Valley is the destination for nature lovers for whom learning, appreciating and exploring the bounties of nature are an endless journey. Surrounded by tea gardens with lush green bushes running far, the resort offers a gorgeous view of the Himalayan Mountain range.

We have pleasure in inviting you to enjoy the restorative nature-based therapies offered here, make it a convenient access point for adventurous treks, water sports and bird-watching. Or just be here to be with nature.

If it's Dooars, it's got to be Sinclairs
Verdant landscape
Dooars is so resplendently green, that seeing will be believing. An oasis of calm, Dooars offers you the luxury of slowing down. It is your refresher course with nature, with people and with the environment. With its uniquely rich flora and fauna, the largely unexplored interiors of Dooars promise a sublimely inspiring destination for those in need of a break from a humdrum city life.

Quality accommodation
Ethnic well spaced cottages with private balconies overlook soaring green trees, flowerbeds in a riot of colours and ornamental shrubs. You will see birds sitting on overhanging branches and colourful butterflies all over and not miss the chatter of cicadas. Built in an ecofriendly way, visual appeal of every part of cottages is enhanced by the use of earthen colours. The rustic feel is refreshingly different from the glitzy urban style.

Excellent recreation
Bask in the early morning sun by the swimming pool, or take a walk across the sprawling property. The resort grows its own medicinal shrubs, flavouring herbs, uncommon vegetables and aromatic plants. It's pure organic farming without any use of chemical fertilisers. You are welcome to do some gardening. At the Heath Club, go for a rejuvenating shirodhara massage. Practise yoga and meditation in a tranquil environment. A host of indoor and outdoor activities are available for the children too.
